Biospecimen and Biorepository
Biospecimen and Biorepository fosters collaborative research by centralizing biospecimen collection, storage and distribution
The Biospecimen and Biorepository (BBR) fosters collaborative research by creating centralized OSU Medical Center wide policies to manage the collection, storage and distribution of biospecimens. Specimens are collected with patient consent or a waiver of consent.
Patient- linked health and medical information are linked to the biospecimens through the Information Warehouse (IW). OSU investigators have the ability to choose from a range of data they can receive from identifiable patient data with IRB review to de-identified or limited data sets using the honest broker process.
